On the gelding, she clearly had a good chance of winning the medals in the individual class in Herning.

After all, she and Goldstrike took silver in the Paralympics last year - and another eleven months together has hardly made them worse.

But in Tokyo there was no audience in place, not much to bother a sensitive gentleman like Goldstrike.

It was worse now, with spectators, people in motion and two camera crews positioned just a few meters from the track.

"Could do ten percent better"

The horse didn't like it.

The misses cost.

66.900 percent was not enough for more than 13th place.

- It wasn't the best premiere, exactly.

He knows ten percent better.

I did my best, but he was afraid of most things.

But I have to turn to the fact that he had a lot of energy in his body, says Etzner Jakobsson.

- The score is quite fair, it fits quite well with what we did.

He even stopped in a corner because he was trying to escape from that camera.

He still did nice things and I get to take that with me.

The Küren in danger

With four teams in the para dressage, Sweden participates in the team competition.

That class will be decided later this week.

On Sunday, the best crews in each grade – Etzner Jakobsson competes in grade IV – compete for the medals in the keur, the free program.

The question is whether she manages to get there.

Now a strong performance in the team competition is required for the team to break into the top eight that reach the kúre.

- I must continue to show him the environment.

Make sure he's with me.

I am much safer, says Etzner Jakobsson.

Sanne Voets/Demantur and Demi Haerkens/Daula ensured that the Netherlands won gold and took silver.

The bronze went to Rodolpho Riskalla/Don Henrico from Brazil.

Later today, Sandra Karlsson rides Don Danimo in Grade II.
