A final verdict was given to Mortada Mansour in prison for a month... and his fate is in the hands of the president of Al-Ahly Club

The president of the Egyptian Zamalek club, Counselor Mortada Mansour, received a strong shock today, after the Economic Misdemeanors Court in Egypt sentenced him to one month in prison because of the accusation against him for defaming Al-Ahly club president Mahmoud Al-Khatib.

According to the Egyptian newspaper, Al-Ahram, the ruling came with work and enforcement and is considered a final ruling, in an amendment to a previous ruling of one year in prison with a suspended sentence, with a fine of 10,000 Egyptian pounds.

Al-Khatib had accused Mortada Mansour of insulting and slandering him through social networking sites, but today's Egyptian newspapers revealed that the fate of Mortada Mansour and not to be imprisoned, is in the hands of the president of Al-Ahly Club only, who is able to change that if he decides to reconcile and waive his right.
