Vårgårda hosted two World Tour stages this weekend.

Yesterday it was Trek-Segafredo who won the team pace.

On Sunday, it was time for the line race, with nine Swedish women at the start.

Julia Borgström, who was successful in the Tour de France Femmes, rode as part of Sweden's national team.

Otherwise, it was just World Tour teams.

The 21-year-old has recently signed a new contract with AG Incurance-NTX until 2025, despite the fact that bigger teams have been pulling in her.

"Being up there all the time"

Borgström was the cyclist that his teammates rode for along the 125.7 kilometers (nine laps).

With just under two miles to go, the pace was increased considerably, among other things by today's winner.

Borgström, Nathalie Eklund and Emilia Fahlin were the Swedes who hung on the longest and all crossed the finish line in the group behind Vos.

Fahlin got the best final position of the Swedes with a tenth place.

- It's a great achievement, with three Swedes in the top 20 in a World Tour, and Julia is up there all the time, says Knutsson.

The superb 35-year-old took his fourth victory in Vårgårda and 244th professional victory.

- It was a difficult race to be in at the top, but my team made it possible for me to win, says Vos.
