Before today's home match against Gif Sundsvall, Hammarby was fourth in the series, while the "Giffarna" parked in last place in the table.

And when the match kicked off, no one probably wondered which of the teams was the top team.

Because already after 43 seconds, the home team was able to take the lead, after equal parts Gif carelessness in defense and fine Hammarby play, making it 1-0.

Scorer was Abdelrahman Saidi, who scored three goals the last time the teams met.

- That's exactly what we've been talking about all week, and that's how it happens, Gif captain Pontus Engblom told Discovery during the break, referring to the early conceded goal.

"Should have scored more goals"

Even after the goal, it was the home team that dominated the game, but 1-0 stood the half-time.

- We should have scored more goals, said Hammarby's Nahir Besara in the half-time break.

Extended after 70 minutes

They managed that in the second half.

Just over 25 minutes into the second half, it was 2-0, when Hammarby countered after a Sundsvalls corner, which ended with Norwegian new signing Veton Berisha, played by 1-0 scorer Saidi, able to score his first goal for his new team.

- It's always nice to score in your first start, and I hope for many more, Berisha told Discovery.

"Make a good match"

In the end it was 3–0 to Hammarby, after Forrest Lasso guided a Hammarby shot into his own goal.

- We play a good match, but perhaps should have killed the match in the first half, says Veton Berisha.
