Haaland silences critics and leads City to double over West Ham

Norwegian sniper Erling Haaland scored two goals in his first appearance in the English Premier League, to lead champions Manchester City to a 2-0 victory over West Ham United, the hosts today.

Halland silenced the criticisms of the past few days, after his modest performance in the Charity Shield match against Liverpool, where today he proved his worth and high scoring abilities, as he had previously promised to do a few days ago.

Haaland, who joined from Borussia Dortmund this summer in a huge deal, opened the goals in the 36th minute with a penalty he obtained himself.

The Norwegian striker added the second goal in the 65th minute after he scored against West Ham, taking advantage of a perfect pass from Kevin De Bruyne.
