At the beginning of last summer, Fanny Roos ran 19.34 at a competition in the Czech Kladno.

It has been a Swedish record ever since.

Congratulated with hugs

But today, at the Diamond League competition in Chorzów, Poland, she already reached 19.42 in the first round.

When the results came up, she had a big smile on her face and was congratulated with hugs by her competitors.

In addition to the result being a welcome statement of form ahead of the upcoming EC in Munich, it was also a great revenge after the failed WC final last month, when she "only" reached 18.27 and finished second last.

After two rounds of the ball competition, Fanny Roos is in fourth place.

The competition is ongoing.
