The arrangement was quite clear at the Equestrian WC in Herning, Denmark.

After Jeanna Högberg and the horse Astoria made a precious miss earlier on Saturday, Juliette Ramel and Buriel needed a good result for Sweden to have a chance at the medals in the dressage team competition.

The program went according to plan.

But towards the end, SVT's commentators AnnaMaria Fredholm and Gunilla Byström appealed to the audience to keep quiet so as not to frighten Buriel in any way.

But the crowd broke into rhythmic applause in the final seconds.

Luckily, Buriel and Ramel resisted and finished nicely with a 76.164.

- That was what Sweden needed!

There were hiccups of fright as the crowd got going.

It wasn't a real slide, but it was as good as Buriel could get.

There was so much that was good, said AnnaMaria Fredholm.

"Now we're in the game"

Gunilla Byström filled in with the tributes:

- Great fun to see, so fantastically beautiful.

So focused and concentrated.

Last competition, Buriel was intimidated by the crowd, so to perform like this is amazing.

Juliette Ramel and Buriel's performance also pleased national team captain Bo Jenå.

- Now we are with the game, she made a great effort.

It was a huge atmosphere in there and Buriel is quite sensitive, so we were a bit worried about how he would take it.

But he handled it very well.

Christmas too, says Bo Jenå to SVT Sport.

Put into words how important this performance was to the medal fight.

- It was very important, a bit depended on this.

If we hadn't been hot on the heels of the others here, it would have been a lot of trouble for the others.

Decided on Sunday

Juliette Ramel was very happy after the performance and the collaboration with Buriel.

But also because the medal hunt is alive.

- I wanted to give tomorrow's riders a good feeling, that they can enter on a good basis.

So it feels very nice.

How do you sum up the ride today?

- I'm very happy with him, I probably couldn't have wished for much more today.

Two out of four Swedish races have now been completed.

Sweden is fourth.

The Netherlands lead ahead of Germany and Denmark after two out of four riders.

The three best results in each team count.

On Sunday, Sweden's fate will be decided by Therese Nilshagen with Dante Weltino OLD and Patrik Kittel with Touchdown.
