Qatar national football team wins Gulf Youth Basketball Championship in Dubai

Today, the Qatari national team won the Gulf Youth Basketball Championship (under 18 years), after beating its Saudi counterpart (75-51) in the final match that brought them together at Al-Wasl Club Hall in Dubai, at the end of the tournament hosted by Dubai since last July 29. and qualified for the Asian Cup.

On the final day, the Bahraini national team won the bronze medal, after defeating Kuwait (55-45) in the match to determine the third and fourth places.

The Saudi national team, despite its loss, included Qatar in the Asian Cup, which will be held at the end of this month in Iran.

After the matches ended, the head of the UAE and Arab federations, Major General Ismail Al Gergawi, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Basketball Association and the head of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the championship, Salem Al-Mutawa, a number of heads of the federations of the participating countries, members of the Board of Directors of the Basketball Association and the Gulf Basketball Coordinating Committee, crowned Bahrain with medals. Bronze, Saudi Arabia silver, Qatar gold and the championship trophy.
