Last winter, the 2022 Junior WC for men had to be postponed due to covid-19.

On Tuesday it is time for the tournament to be played again, and on Wednesday Sweden steps into the tournament which is decided in Edmonton, Canada.

During the night that passed, the junior crowns played again against Finland.

The junior crowns got off to a good start when they took the lead in the first period of the match.

It was Los Angeles Kings talent Helge Grans who was freed by Victor Stjerborg and made it 1-0 with ridiculous ease.

Acquitted with three minutes left

Finland then pushed for an equalizer – and it came with less than three minutes remaining in the third period – when big-play Jesper Wallstedt found himself beaten by Samuel Helenius.

In overtime, Finland, which has already had time to play several training matches, drew the longest straw when center Joel Määttä decided.

The tournament starts on Tuesday and is broadcast on SVT and Viaplay.

Before then, Sweden will play two more practice matches, against the USA and Canada respectively.
