Man United coach refuses to decide Ronaldo's position on Brighton

Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag expressed his reservations about the possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo participating in the first match of the team in the English Premier League, but confirmed that the Portuguese striker will be part of the team's plans for the new season.

And the British news agency (PA Media) reported that the 37-year-old is keen to leave Old Trafford again, one year after returning to the team that won several trophies with him in his first period.

Ronaldo missed pre-season preparations in Thailand and Australia due to family matters, and then played the first 45 minutes with his team in a friendly match against Rayo Vallecano last Sunday in a friendly match.

When asked about the possibility of the Portuguese player participating in the first match in the English Premier League against Brighton, Ten Hag said: "We will see on Sunday."

Ronaldo was among a number of players who left the team's match against Rayo early, which Ten Hag described as "unacceptable" in his statements to a Dutch radio station.

"There were many players who left the match, but the spotlight was on Ronaldo," Ten Hag said.

When asked about Ronaldo's position in the team, Ten Hag said: "I am really happy."

He added: "I told you before that we are planning the season with him, we have a great striker and I am very happy to have him here, he is in the squad and we are sticking to our plans."
