On Friday it was time for the long distance at the orienteering EC in Estonia.

It was a difficult track, and several of the superstars made silly mistakes

So did Sara Hagström, who made a big mistake at the fifth control, which in the extension cost her a medal.

- I adjusted the map 30 degrees wrong because I pulled completely wrong over a hedge and got so angry and had to swim through green and just thought how the others run around the other way, she says after entering the finish line.

Despite the miss, she finished strongly, finishing in fourth place, 39 seconds behind third place Marika Teini.

- I was surprised that I was the first to finish.

I really want that individual medal, Hagström said while she waited for the others to finish.

Venla Harju won in front of Tove Alexandersson.
