Abu Dhabi hosts the first edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Cup for Gulf volleyball

The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy has announced the launch of the inaugural Fatima Bint Mubarak Gulf Volleyball Cup for Women 2022, which will be held in Abu Dhabi from August 26 to 31, at the Jujitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City.

The activities of this edition will be held in conjunction with the celebrations of Emirati Women’s Day, with the participation of 72 players representing 6 teams (Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports, Al Wasl Club and Sharjah Ladies Club Team) from the UAE, Noura Club from Saudi Arabia and Salwa Al-Sabah Club from Kuwait And the "Bahrain" club from Bahrain.

The teams are divided into two groups, and the first round will be held from August 26 to 28, and the semi-finals will start on August 30, then the matches to determine the first four places will be held on the following day.

The Academy revealed the details of this event during a press conference held today at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in the presence of Talal Mustafa Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Amal Al-Afifi, member of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and Awad Al-Mansoori, member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Volleyball Federation. And Fatima Al-Amri, representative of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and a number of representatives of the media and event partners.
