Pontus Ward Wiklund is a coach in Önnered's HK men's team and the women's U18 national team in handball.

On Friday morning, he was to fly with the national team to Montenegro for the U18 World Cup, from Copenhagen Airport Kastrup.

Then he joked at security that he had a bomb in his bag.

The airport had to be temporarily evacuated and Wiklund was arrested by Danish police.

Now he speaks out about the incident.

- I completely lost my judgment for a short while and joked about something you really shouldn't joke about, especially not in that place.

I want to apologize to my national team, the federation, the staff at the airport and other people who have been affected by this.

I realize the seriousness and how idiotic my actions were.

I am also prepared to take a possible punishment, learn from this and then move on in life, he says to Önerred HK's website.

SVT Sport has contacted Pontus Ward Wiklund, who does not want to comment on the incident further.
