The television images shortly after Oliver Berntzon's crash in the Speedway of Nations speak for themselves: Berntzon is furious.

The reason?

A collision (?) in the last turn of the semi-final when he was passing the Australian Max Fricke.

However, it was really hard to see exactly how much contact there was and after some deliberation the umpires decided to rule in Australia's favour, something which Berntzon did not take kindly to.

On his way back into the pit area, he shouted some less than well-chosen words in the direction of a television camera.

- I would not have wanted to be a referee today, it was a difficult decision to make and the referees could have judged either way, but this time it was Australia who had the margins on their side, says expert Tony Rickardsson.

This resulted in a bronze medal for Sweden in what was previously called the team WC.

In addition to Oliver Berntzon, Fredrik Lindgren and Victor Palovaara were there to defend the Swedish colors.

In the final between Great Britain and Australia, it was the latter who drew the longest straw, and thus secured the country's first gold in the team World Cup in 20 years.
