Sunday's final at Wembley between host nation England and Germany is expected to attract around 90,000 spectators breaking the attendance record for a single European Women's match.

But even overall, the football championship has been a great success.

When the European Championship was decided in the Netherlands last time, the 31 matches were seen by a total of 240,055 spectators in the stands.

Already after 30 matches, this year's figure is thus more than double.

The current crowd record for a single EC match was broken in the opener between England and Austria when 68,871 people attended.
