The Japan Triathlon Union has announced that a triathlon player, Shu Miyazaki, who was training camp in France, died in contact with an oncoming vehicle while practicing a motorcycle.

According to the Japan Triathlon Union, Miyazaki was 25 years old from Toyama City and started triathlon from university, aiming to win medals at the Paris Olympics two years later and the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.



Miyazaki had a training camp in Orleans, France, but died in an accident in contact with an oncoming vehicle while practicing a motorcycle on the 27th.



Local authorities and others are investigating the situation of the accident in detail.



The Japan Triathlon Union says, "I pray for Miyazaki's soul and extend my heartfelt condolences to my relatives and friends."
