Al Shabab Saudi sign Spanish coach Moreno

Al-Shabab club, competing in the Saudi Professional Football League, announced today, Thursday, the appointment of the Spaniard Bisente Moreno as a new coach for one season.

The announcement of the contract came during the youth camp in Saudi Arabia in preparation for the new season.

Moreno, 47, coached Espanyol in the past two seasons, and led them to the first division after winning the second division title. He left the Catalan team last May, and led Mallorca before him.

Moreno will take over the leadership of the youth, succeeding the Romanian Marius Chomodica, who moved to train Al-Raed in the Saudi League.

Al Shabab finished fourth last season and there has been speculation in the past about the appointment of Quique Setien, the former Barcelona coach, but his compatriot Moreno was chosen.
