British Emma Raducanu will be used as a propaganda tool for Vladimir Putin after she acquired a Russian trainer, MP Bryant believes.

- The Kremlin will describe it as a PR coup that shows that Britain doesn't really care about the war in Ukraine, so it would be shameful if Emma goes ahead with this, says Bryant to The Telegraph.

- I ask her to reconsider and at least condemn Putin's barbaric war.

19-year-old Radacanu made a big breakthrough when she won the US Open as a qualifier last year, but after that she has not been successful in the big tournaments.

She has reached the second round of the Australian Open, the French Championships and Wimbledon.

Dmitrij Tursunov was at best ranked 20th in the world as a player and has, among other things, trained current world number two Anett Kontaveit.

The US Open kicks off on August 29.
