The competitions for the fifth edition of the Quattro Gulf Academies Football Championship, under the age of 14, born in 2008 and 2009, and under 12, born in 2010 and 2011, will open this evening, Wednesday, and will continue until August 2, in the stadiums of the Quattro Sports Center, under the patronage of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Department of Sports. The Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament said that it has completed its technical and administrative preparations for the launch of the Arab Gulf Gathering, which creates a fraternal competitive atmosphere among the Gulf brothers, and has completed the necessary equipment to receive the delegations of the participating teams, where all means of comfort will be provided for all teams, and an integrated training camp is prepared, with all Supplies from hotels, sports equipment and stadiums to conduct daily training.”

Six teams will participate in the 12-year category: Seventeen Four Academy from Kuwait, Ole Academy, Argentinian Academy, and Sport for All Academy, in addition to two teams from Oman, Smart Academy and Al-Turaif Academy.

In the 14-year category, six teams will also participate: Sporty Academy from Kuwait, Smart Football Academy from the Sultanate of Oman, Ole Academy from Bahrain, Al Qassim Academy from Saudi Arabia, Al Attar Academy from Iraq, in addition to the Argentine Academy team from the Emirates.

The first day of the tournament will witness the establishment of four matches, with two matches for each category. The first match for the 12-year-old class brings together the Oli Academy team with the Argentine Academy at five o’clock in the evening, and in the second match the Smart Football Academy with Seventeen Academy at six o’clock in the evening, and in the 14-year-old category championship meets the Academy Smart football at Ole Academy at seven in the evening, while the Argentine academy will face the Sporty Academy team at eight in the evening.

The participating teams began arriving in the UAE to participate in the tournament, where the first batch of the Bahraini Ole Academy team arrived last Saturday, which will participate in two teams, under 14 years and under 12 years.
