Determining the conditions for volunteering for the 2022 World Cup and the closing date for applications

Next Sunday (July 31), the date for volunteering for the 2022 World Cup - Qatar ends, while interviews with applicants will conclude on August 13, which coincides with only 100 days left until the start of the tournament scheduled to be held from November 21 to December 18.

It is scheduled that 20,000 volunteers will participate in supporting the operational aspects of the World Cup, in the first edition of the tournament to be held in the Arab world and the region, and its competitions will host eight stadiums.

Those interested in volunteering should follow the below steps: register at volunteer.fifa.com, fill out the application form, participate in assessment experiments through an online game, and book an interview.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older by October 1, 2022, and applicants must be fluent in English conversation, and commit to at least 10 shifts during the tournament.

Candidates should also note that some volunteer roles will begin before October 1st.

The International Football Association (FIFA) announced the opening of applications to participate in the volunteer program, during a special ceremony held last March at the open theater in Katara Cultural Village.

The program has seen thousands of candidates from more than 170 countries have been interviewed since mid-May when the Volunteer Center opened in Doha.

The task of carrying out the interviews was carried out by volunteers who provided support for tournaments organized in Qatar under the umbrella of FIFA, such as the Club World Cup 2020 and the Arab Cup 2021.
