Barcelona announces the death of the number 1 member of the club
The Spanish football club Barcelona announced, on Tuesday, the death of Manuel Manos Gonzapo, who has been a member of the club since 1932, at the age of 101.
Barcelona stated that Gonzapo was ranked first in the club's list of more than 140,000 members entitled to vote.
The Catalan club said in a statement: "We regret to announce the death of Manuel Manos Gonzalpo, holder of the number 1 membership in Barcelona, at the age of 101."
He added, "He has been a member of the club since September 5, 1932. Our condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in peace."
During his life, Gonzapo witnessed the brilliance of many prominent stars who passed through Barcelona, such as Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona, Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi.
