The Syrian Federation sue the Brazilian coach Paqueta

The Syrian Football Association announced on Monday that it is about to file a complaint with the International Federation of the Game "FIFA" against Brazilian coach Marcos Cesar Diaz "Paqueta", against the background of violating the statement signed by him.

"Paquita" was scheduled to occupy the positions of director of the first national team and the technical department of the federation, but he violated the declaration signed by him, which includes "his commitment not to contract with any party within a period of 15 days from the date of July."

The local federation published a statement on its Facebook website, in which it indicated that on the 20th of this month, it sent the contract to the 62-year-old coach via e-mail, duly signed in compliance with the aforementioned deadline so that it could be signed permanently by the coach in implementation of the approval.

He added that on the 23rd of this month, “and since no response was received from the coach, the correspondence was repeated to explain the reason for not responding and implementing what was agreed upon, so that the answer would arrive on the same day with the coach’s apology on the pretext that his family did not agree to that.”

He pointed out that the Football Association decided to use all the legal methods with FIFA to claim “compensation for the damages resulting from the coach’s failure to comply and invest what happened to market himself and demand the penal terms agreed upon in the contract, which preserves the union’s right.”

Paqueta had several experiences with Qatari clubs (Al-Gharafa and Al-Rayyan) and also supervised the Saudi Al-Hilal, the Emirati youth and the Egyptian Zamalek.

As for the national teams, he coached Saudi Arabia (2005-2007) and Libya (2010-2012).
