This is required by the task, the situation, and the needs of the masses. Strictly crack down and rectify prominent violations and crimes that are strongly reflected by the masses in accordance with the law, and effectively make the people feel that safety is at their fingertips and security is at their side.
We adhere to the policy of cracking down in accordance with the law. We must solve major cases quickly, but also solve more small cases.
Up to now, in the "Hundred-Day Operation" of the summer public security crackdown and rectification, the criminal investigation department has solved a total of 49,000 criminal cases of various types and arrested 72,000 criminal suspects, effectively maintaining the overall stability of social security.
At the same time, in accordance with the deployment requirements of the Party Central Committee, we will continue to carry out the normalized fight against gangsters and evils.
The Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security has researched and issued the "Opinions of the Ministry of Public Security on the Normalization of the Struggle against Gangs and Evils", which comprehensively summarizes and solidifies the experience and practices of special struggles, and improves the working mechanism.
In response to the new situation of underworld crimes, public security organs across the country have been deployed to carry out a series of special actions, focusing on cracking down on underworld crimes in traditional areas such as "village bullies", "sand bullies", and "mine bullies", and severely punishing "routine loans" and "naked chat" extortion in accordance with the law. Using the underworld criminal activities carried out on the Internet, we will carry out in-depth efforts to hunt down the fugitives of underworld criminals and catch "fish that slip through the net".
Since the normalization of anti-criminal and anti-evil operations, public security organs have destroyed 249 gang-related organizations, 1,486 criminal groups of evil forces, and arrested 22,000 criminal suspects, effectively consolidating the results of the special struggle.
