AIK has had a miserable season so far, losing 13 out of 15 games.

Now it is hoped that Emma Engström, who left the club before the 2020 season, can help the team stay in the women's league.

The 22-year-old was brought up in AIK and has several U23, U19 and U17 international matches under his belt.

- It feels great to be back in AIK.

It feels a bit like coming home.

I'm looking forward to meeting my new teammates and everyone in the staff and can't wait for the matches to start in the Women's League again, says Emma Engström to the club's website.

The contract is written over 2023 and the club aims for Engström to be ready for the restart of the series when they meet Piteå on August 14.
