The South African players celebrated by performing dances in front of a large audience of more than 50,000 spectators, to continue in the dressing room, which also witnessed a special celebration after South Africa became the third country to join the golden record of the tournament after Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea.

The two teams played a strong match, but the first half ended without goals, before the South African players scored two goals in the 63rd and 71st minutes through Braga's Portuguese player Jermain Siobosinoy and Hilda Magaya, a professional in South Korea, respectively.

In the 80th minute, Morocco's goal was scored by Tottenham Hotspur's Rosella Al-Ayyan.
