"Miss Inspiration"

The traditional Crystal Rose tournament in Minsk this year brought together the strongest gymnasts from Russia and Belarus, as well as Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Hungary and Australia.

Over the three days of the competition, awards were drawn in individual and team all-around, as well as in individual events.

In the team competition, the victory was won by "Russia-1", which was represented by Dina and Arina Averina, as well as the best juniors of the country Maria Borisova and Anna Popova.

The silver medal was won by the first team of Belarus, and the third was Russia-2, which was represented by Lala Kramarenko, Anastasia Guzenkova, Diana Chugunikhina and Eva Kalinina.

It is noteworthy that the Averina sisters did not win in any of the disciplines in the team tournament, and the overall victory was achieved thanks to the excellent performances of their young compatriots.

The best result of the sisters was Arina's second place in the exercise with clubs.

After the performance, she admitted that she and Dina lacked competitive experience, since this season she had to train more than perform.

In addition, the five-time world champion did not highly appreciate her performance in the team all-around.

“I am only satisfied with the puff pirouette in clubs.

Everything.

No, this (self-criticism) is not with age, it depends on the person.

The more you criticize yourself, the better you become.

And if you say all the time, “Oh, what a fine fellow I am, everything worked out,” then nothing will happen, ”Averina emphasized.

She also compared the feeling of the tournament in Belarus with major international competitions.

According to Arina, this time the competitive nerve was felt at a minimum level.

“Not in the same way, of course, as at the World and European Championships, but the excitement is felt,” said Averina.

In turn, the head coach of the Russian national team, Irina Viner, also noted that the Averin sisters did not have enough practice at this tournament.

“Dina and Arina showed their programs very well.

There were some mistakes, they have not performed for a very long time.

They are used to performing in our palace, but here they were a little constrained, ”the head of the FHGR emphasized after the first day of the competition.

In the individual all-around, the triumph was celebrated by Belarusian Alina Gornosko, who became the best in three out of four events - hoop, ball and maces.

The second place was taken by Russian Lala Kramarenko, who showed the first result in the ribbon exercise.

Arina Averina won bronze, while Dina finished only fifth.

She has not remained without awards in the all-around at international competitions since the distant 2016.

To slightly brighten up the bitterness of defeat, the title "Miss Inspiration" was called, which Dina received after the second day of the tournament.

During the competition, the Belarusian gymnast Margarita Timoshenko pretty much scared everyone.

When performing an exercise with clubs, the athlete lost consciousness, blood began to flow from her nose.

The girl was carried off the carpet in her arms.

Fortunately, everything went without serious consequences.

According to the Belarusian Gymnastics Association, the gymnast lost consciousness due to stress and high humidity.

“Now she is fine,” the organization said.

Kramarenko's victorious tread

The most successful Russian gymnast at the tournament was Lala Kramarenko.

In the individual all-around, she took silver and reached the final in all individual events, while Dina and Arina qualified in only two exercises each.

As a result, Kramarenko won two gold medals - in exercises with clubs and a ribbon, and also received a silver medal for performing with a hoop.

Arina Averina became a bronze medalist in the exercises with clubs, and Dina - with the ball.

The gymnasts did not do without mistakes in their programs, one of which cost Arina a bump on her forehead.

The athlete so unsuccessfully dropped the mace during the performance.

This is not the first time Kramarenko has beaten eminent compatriots, gradually gaining the title of leader of the Russian team.

The 17-year-old gymnast stressed that she was glad to take part in international competitions, because such an opportunity is rare this season.

“As Irina Alexandrovna says, the strongest teams are Russia and Belarus, we compete with each other.

Therefore, I am very glad that we performed here.

Not everything worked out very well ... We will work and, I hope, we will fix everything at the next competitions.

The finals in some events went well enough, I'm not happy that I lost the ball.

There was such an unfortunate mistake, because I started to twist the turn, and he just rolled away.

And everything else is very personal, ”the Match TV quotes the gymnast.

Kramarenko also appreciated how difficult it was to switch from the Russian rules, which are used in domestic competitions this season, to the system of the International Gymnastics Federation.

“From Russians to these it is easier, but from FIG to ours it is more difficult.

Therefore, it was probably easier to perform here than at the Cup of the Strongest, because there the program was “Russian”.

It fully reveals rhythmic gymnastics, there are a lot of elements, there is freedom of choice.

You show what you can do and do not push yourself into the framework, ”Lala emphasized.

Dina Averina's injury

At the end of the competition, Dina Averina burst into tears, and this speaks better than any words about how she evaluates her own performance at the tournament.

The final result of the silver medalist of the Tokyo Games was probably affected by the injury that she received even before the start of the tournament.

During the testing of the hall, Dina twisted her leg and even cried from the pain.

She was given first aid right on the mat, after which she went to the coaches.

Later, the gymnast returned to training with an ice bandage on her right leg, and it was clear that the movements were difficult for her.

But despite this, the 18-time world champion did not withdraw from the competition.

And according to Irina Viner, the damage was not serious.

“I understand that now there are few competitions, little news.

What are you clinging to some nonsense?

One woman said something there.

Bullshit, she (Dina) performs, everything is fine, ”RIA Novosti quotes a specialist.

However, Averina was noticeably cautious when performing programs, and this greatly affected both the speed and the complexity of her performances.

As a result, the assessments were very different from what she was used to.

The problem with her leg may be related to an old back injury that Dina received in 2020.

According to the famous gymnast, pain haunts her almost constantly, and during the jumps they give it to her right leg, which is why she often tucks herself.

But Dina used to endure.

Even then, in 2020, she tried to compete at the Russian Championship, although the back pain was simply unbearable.

As a result, shortly before entering the carpet, the athlete had a panic attack.

“My arms and legs are cramping, my back is failing, I can’t breathe.

Irina Alexandrovna found me lying in the locker room: “We are taking me to the hospital.

Fast!".

I tried not to look into my eyes.

From Luzhniki I was taken in an ambulance in the opposite direction, ”Averina shared in an interview.

At the same time, in Minsk, the gymnast admitted: her sister and the enthusiasm of Irina Viner keep her from ending her career.

“If not for Arish, I would have left the sport long ago.

And Irina Aleksandrovna feels like: as soon as we are going to take a break or finish, she immediately comes up with something interesting, and we are drawn in, ”concluded Dina.
