The Swedish national team is in the EC semi-finals.

Late on Thursday they beat Belgium 1-0 after a late decision by Linda Sembrant.

Now England waits on Tuesday.

The British press is critical of Sweden.

- England looks at this Sweden and thinks it is winnable.

They don't impress at all.

I think England are happy with what they saw from Sweden against Belgium, says former national team striker Kelly Smith in the BBC.

"They got away"

Everton player Izzy Christiansen, who has also played in the national team before, says that Sweden must be more clinical when scoring chances.

- They escaped against Belgium.

They have a lot to do if they are to threaten England, says Christiansen.

Sweden has won two of the last three matches against England (one cross).

The last time the teams met was in the WC 2019 and then Sweden won 2–1.
