The delegation of the national youth team “born in 2003” left yesterday for the city of Abha, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the Arab Cup U-20 Championship organized by the Arab Football Association during the period from July 20 to August 6, with the participation of 18 teams divided into 6 groups, where the white plays In the second group along with the teams of Jordan and Yemen.

The final list of our national team included 23 players: Hamad Aref, Muhammad Khalil, Khamis Ahmed, Hazza Sabet, Zayed Abdullah, Omar Ibrahim, Muhammad Salem, Maid Saeed, Nawaf Jassem, Saif Yaqout, Rashid Muhammad, Issa Khalfan, Khaled Saleh, Saif Khalid, Ali Abdel Aziz, Mubarak Salem, Abdullah Khaled, Saeed Ahmed, Ateeq Essam, Salem Tariq, Rabie Hassan, Abdullah Badr, Ahmed Nasser.

Al-Shabab will open its participation in the tournament tomorrow, when it will face Jordan at 10:00 pm UAE time at Damak Club Stadium, while it will meet with Yemen team on January 26 at the same stadium and time.

The top two of each of the six groups, along with the two best second-placed teams, advance to the quarter-finals scheduled for July 31.

It is worth noting that the national team completed its preparations for the tournament in an external camp in the Kingdom of Morocco from 5 to 15 July.
