After a relatively uneventful first half hour, the match between AIK and Kalmar in Friends arena started in earnest.

When Kalmar's pressure came to an end, however, Kristoffer Nordfeltdt was safe - and when the home team's Carl Gustafsson's shot went straight through Kalmar's defense, the ball whizzed past the goal right next to the post.

Then AIK debutant John Guidetti had been involved in and created some situations that could have led to shots on goal but that ran into the sand.

Funny near two goals

Mikael Lustig was instead the one who got to show.

1-0 for AIK came with just over five minutes left of the first half.

Lustig caught the post that passed two of his teammates and put a cold finish.

-I come in behind them and ... it's almost a penalty kick.

It was just to place the ball, says Lustig to Disovery +.

In the second half, he was also close to becoming a two-goal shooter when he tried to nod in Axel Björnström's corner, but Friedrich Ricardo saved.

Högerbacken has, for obvious reasons, not earlier in the season 21/22 nor last season in the Allsvenskan.

Pressed for receipt

Guidetti got to the applause of the home crowd after 65 minutes.

Kalmar chased the equalizer to the last.

With just under ten minutes left, Kalmar's Isak Jansson was close and the away team got another sharp chance on a corner a moment later, but Nordfeldt played great and AIK could thus come home with the first victory since the three-pointer against Helsingborg at the end of May.
