Martinez, who moved to Ajax in the summer of 2019 from Argentine club Defensa e Justicia on a four-year contract with an option to extend for an additional year, became United's third signing this summer after Dutch full-back Terrell Malacia and Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen.


Martinis will meet again with his Ajax coach, Erik ten Hag, who took over the duties of supervising United as of this season.
