The national team, which aims to strengthen the players of the Japanese national team in speed skating, has been holding a training camp in Abashiri, Hokkaido from the 10th of this month for the new season, and won the bronze medal at the men's 500 meters of the Beijing Olympics in February. 17 players are participating, including Morishige who did the game and Ayano Sato who won the silver medal in the women's group skating.

The national team changed its structure after the Beijing Olympics, and Toshihiko Itokawa was appointed as the new head coach, and Keiichiro Nagashima, who won the silver medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and the men's 500 meters, was added as a coach.

Morishige said about coach Nagashima, "I have been taught from a different perspective. I would like to discuss technical matters after the practice on ice begins."
