Maja Nilsson hoped to advance to the finals in the high jump competition.

And she started well with coping with the first heights without any problems.

But when the bar came up to 1.90, the problems for the Swede began.

After two demolitions, she only managed the height in the last attempt.

But in the height after, the World Cup adventure ended for Nilsson who failed with all three attempts at 1.93.

The qualifying limit in the high jump qualifier had been set at 1.95, one centimeter below Nilsson's personal best of 1.96.

- I am very disappointed, I can jump higher and I know it but it did not work today.

It's just a matter of biting and coming back, says Maja Nilsson after the qualifiers.

Nilsson tells SVT Sport that she has had a feeling in her knee that has meant that she has not been able to train so much lately.

- I have not jumped so much height in recent weeks, so a little more continuity in training is needed.

What is that feeling?

- I have had feelings in my knee that I operated on last year.

So there has been a bit of a setback lately.

But the last two weeks have gone well.

I was hoping for more and it is super bitter, says Nilsson.
