Juventus changes offer, hoping to extend De Ligt's contract until 2025

Press reports in Italy revealed that the Italian football club Juventus is still seeking to keep defender Matthijs de Ligt, who wants to move to Bayern Munich, by changing his offer to the player.

And the Italian newspaper, Gazzetta dello Sport, wrote today, Saturday, that the Juventus leadership is seeking, by raising De Ligt’s salary, to persuade the Dutch international and his business manager to extend his contract until 2025.

It is noteworthy that it has become agreed so far that de Ligt prefers to move to the German club, which holds records from the championships.

The newspaper added that Juventus also expressed its willingness to reduce the value of the release clause in De Ligt's contract from 120 to 90 million euros, but this value remains higher than the offer made by Bayern to join De Ligt, as the offer includes the payment of 60 million euros in addition to 10 million euros in bonuses.

For his part, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on Twitter today that he expects a new offer from Munich to join the Dutch player.
