Last week it became clear that Lawrence Pilut broke his contract with the Russian club.

Shortly afterwards, information came in that the NHL club Buffalo Sabers, where Rasmus Dahlin plays, were interested in taking back Pilut.

The agreement on a one-year contract worth approximately SEK 7.9 million is now official.

The 26-year-old national team defender spent two seasons in North America (between 2018 and 2020) and alternated games with Buffalo in the NHL and their grandfather team in the AHL.

In total, there were 46 games in the NHL and 67 games in the AHL.

In 2021, he also played the World Cup for Sweden.
