Nordqvist finished with birdies on the last three holes and is now a total of seven strokes under par for the competition.

Vani Kapoor, from India and Austria's Sarah Schober shares second place, one stroke behind Nordqvist.

The tournament is played at Rosendaelsche Golf Club in the Netherlands.

After taking two weeks off from the tour, to spend time with friends and family in Sweden, it has taken a few days for Nordqvist to come back and find the form, but during the third round it clicked.

"Taking two weeks off in the middle of the season is of course not ideal, but I was a bit tough after a long time in the US with two majors, so I wanted to go home," says Nordqvist in a press release.

“My family means everything to me.

I have six nephews I want to meet, I had not met my family since November, so I prioritized meeting them because I know it will give me a lot of energy in the future. "

The second best Swede is Elin Arvidsson in 38th place.
