And three.

After Magnus Cort Nielsen on the 10th stage and Jonas Vingegaard on the 11th, a third Dane wins a stage of this 109th Tour de France.

On this flat stage between Le Bourg-d'Oisans and Saint-Étienne (192.6 kilometers), the last word went to Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo).

After the last two stages in the mountains

in the Alps

, the 159 cyclists still in contention were treated to a course that was less demanding and more conducive to breakaways.

It is also one of them that made the difference until the end.

First seven in this breakaway formed by three (Filippo Ganna, Stefan Küng and Matteo Jorgenson) from the 30th kilometer, there were only three left at the end: Mads Pedersen therefore, as well as the Briton Fred Wright (Bahrain Victorious) and Canadian Hugo Houle (Israel-Premier Tech).

And 300 meters from the finish line, in front of the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, the 2019 road cycling world champion launched the sprint and dominated his two opponents.

The race was conducted at a brisk pace, at a speed of nearly 45 km/h in a heat of over 30°C.

Overall, no change.

Well established in the peloton, the yellow jersey

Jonas Vingegaard

(Jumbo-Visma) was not worried.

He remains the leader ahead of the Slovenian Tadej Pogacard (UAE Emirates), at 2'22, and ahead of the Briton Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers), at 2'26.

YESSSSSSSSS!!!

MADSSSSS!

That was a Mads race, from start to finish.
