It was in the season debut at the Diamond League in Morocco that Warholm injured in the back of the thigh, already after the first hurdle the Norwegian had to interrupt.

It has since been unclear whether Warholm will be able to participate in the World Cup in Eugene.

But at a press conference ahead of the championship, organized by sponsor Puma, Warholm confirmed that he was ready for competition.

- The last time has been hell.

But we have tested a bit and I feel confident that I am close to 100 percent, Warholm said.

Warholm's coach Leif Olav Alnes tells SVT Sport that the decision to compete was made recently.

- We did a test the day before yesterday and it was only when we decided to drive.

- Oh, so late, exciting…

Yes, I wish it might have been a little less exciting but now it looks good and then you just have to go for it, he says.

The World Athletics Championships starts tomorrow and is broadcast on SVT.
