And, on this day usually marked by a French victory, it was a Briton who won at the top of Alpe d'Huez: Thomas Pidcock, Olympic mountain bike champion and reigning cyclo-cross champion who passed to the road in 2021
In one of the legendary finishes of the event, the Dane Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo) kept the leader's yellow jersey without giving up anything to the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE).
