The circles of the bow and arrow game have recently recorded the success of the head of the women’s jiu-jitsu team in Ras Al Khaimah Club, Sheikha Al Khateri, in confirming her eligibility to take on challenges away from her mother game, and to obtain a continental badge through her regularity and with the support of the Bow and Arrow Association at the 2022 Continental Arbitration Conference, which was organized by The Asian Confederation last month for the first time in the region, and 55 referees and women from Asia participated in it, along with rulers from the rest of the world.

Al-Khatri told "Emirates Today", "Sports activity stopped in March 2020 due to Corona, and my inability to practice the sport of Mother Jiu-Jitsu, and to train with the women's team that I head at the Ras Al Khaimah Club, was behind my search for a new challenge, so that the choice fell on The bow and arrow game, in which I was directly involved in the arbitration corps, by submitting in August of that year to a course that was held via the remote visual communication system, and after three months it was successfully followed in the exams of the attendance session.”

She explained, "The support I received from the Bow and Arrow Association was behind being among the refereeing teams in a local and international championship in 2021, in experiences that gave me a lot of experience, and led me at the beginning of this year to manage the (World Cup) for the bow and arrow for people of determination in Dubai, in accelerated steps. It bore fruit, after the Game Association nominated me to obtain the Continental Referee Certificate, on the sidelines of the Emirate of Sharjah’s hosting of the 2022 Continental Arbitration Conference and courses.”

Al Khatri pointed out that the knowledge culture and the athletes' keenness to continue their educational attainment along with sports excellence benefits one's ability to take on new challenges, and not limit the focus to a specific field. My entry into Jiu-Jitsu in 2018 quickly opened the way for me, and despite my studies, I became a member of the Ras Al Khaimah Club Board of Directors the following year, and head of the club’s women’s team In jiu-jitsu, and now I look forward to continuing to work on balancing my work as a tour guide in Ras Al Khaimah, and finishing my studies along with my ambitious plans in the sports field, including establishing a bow and arrow team that represents Ras Al Khaimah in local championships.”

Regarding her future ambitions, Al-Khateri said: “My ambitions are great in the sports field, as besides my mother sport jiu-jitsu, I will continue in the arbitration field of the bow and arrow, by participating and with the support of the Game Association in the coming period within the arbitration teams of the continental championships of the game, which qualifies me within the next two years, to obtain on the international emblem.
