Italy went on a big loss in the premiere against France with 5-1.

In the second group game against Iceland, the Italian team was looking for revenge.

But they got the worst possible start to the match.

Already after three minutes of play, Iceland took the lead.

Karolina Lea Vilhjalmsdottir was able to score the lead goal for Iceland.

Italy worked their way into the match after Iceland's lead goal.

But the Icelandic team defended well and was able to go to the break with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Iceland was extremely close to expanding its lead.

But instead, Italy could equalize in the attack after.

Valentina Bergamaschi got the ball in the penalty area and shot in the equalizer for his team.

After the equalizer, Italy started to push hard for a winning goal.

Barbara Bonansea was really close to putting it 2-1 but the shot went wide.

There were no more goals in the match that ended 1-1.

This means that Italy is last in the group with one point while Iceland is second on two points.

And the final round of the group looks set to be a thriller as Italy need to defeat Belgium and rely on France defeating Iceland to advance.
