The Danish professional cyclist Jonas Vingegaard confidently won the second mountain finish of the 109th Tour de France and thus snatched the yellow jersey from the top favorite Tadej Pogacar.

Vingegaard from Team Jumbo-Visma pulled away on the final climb to the Col du Granon Serre Chevalier and won after 151.7 kilometers with a clear lead, defending champion Pogacar lost more than two minutes and with it the jersey of the overall leader.
