Chinanews client, Beijing, July 13th. On the evening of the 12th, Beijing time, FINA officially announced that the 2024 World Swimming Championships will be held in Doha, Qatar from February 2 to 18.

  The Doha World Swimming Championships was originally scheduled to be held in 2023, but because the previous Fukuoka World Swimming Championships was rescheduled to the summer of 2023, the Doha World Championships was postponed to 2024.

  The 2024 Doha World Swimming Championships will include 6 events of swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo, open water and high-altitude diving, and a total of 76 gold medals will be produced.

This World Championships will also be an important opportunity for athletes to obtain tickets to the Paris Olympic Games in the same year.

  Competitions in swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo will be held at the Asbel Arena, while diving will be played at the Hamad Aquatic Centre 200 meters away.

High diving and open water competitions are currently scheduled to take place in the waters near the Islamic Art Museum.
