"FIFA" imposes a "heavy" penalty on electrification.. Mortada Mansour comments

Amir Mortada, the general supervisor of the Zamalek football team, confirmed that the International Football Association "FIFA" punished striker Mahmoud Kahraba with suspension because of his late payment of the fine owed to Zamalek Club.

Amir Mortada wrote on his Twitter account: "The FIFA Disciplinary Committee issues a decision to suspend Kahraba from playing for a period of six months until the fine is paid."

Kahraba had broken his contract with Zamalek two seasons ago, unilaterally, despite the validity of his contract with his club, and he left for the Portuguese Desportivo Aves, then terminated his contract with the Portuguese team in January 2020 and left for Al-Ahly of Egypt.

Zamalek received a ruling from “FIFA” fining Kahraba and the Portuguese club, Desportivo Aves, two million dollars, but the player decided to resort to the International Sports Court.

The International Sports Court decided to uphold an electrification fine in favor of Zamalek in the amount of two million dollars, with the player charging the interests due from this amount since the decision was issued in June 2019.

In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, Mortada Mansour, said that the decision to stop Mahmoud Kahraba, Al-Ahly player, is the biggest victory for the White Castle, and evidence of the correctness of the club's position.

Mansour said in a press statement on Monday: "The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has helped Zamalek club in its case against Mahmoud Kahraba, which is the biggest victory for the board of directors."

He added: "Stopping electrification for a period of 6 months is considered a response to the skeptics, and that the player's contract with Zamalek was sound, and not forged, as was reported in the previous period."

He continued: "The Zamalek club continues its position, and regarding any issue, we will not give up our right and we will fight for it, as happened in the Kahraba case, and we will get our full rights."

And he concluded: “The Egyptian Football Association must implement the decision to stop electrification, and in the event that the player does not pay the fine signed on him, a new complaint will be submitted against him.”
