It is the Dutch star Annemiek van Vleuten who dominates the Giro d'Italia as two stages now remain.

She won today's tough stage with a full 59 second margin down to the Italian Marta Cavalli and leads the total by over two minutes.

Van Vleuten won by such a large margin despite a fall at the end of the stage.

- It was tough.

I made a stupid mistake in the end.

So I feel a little disappointed that I made such a stupid and unnecessary mistake, says van Vleuten.

Two Swedes are in the big competition and for Hanna Nilsson it is going really well.

Today she finished 8 minutes and 42 seconds behind van Vleuten in 16th place.

She is 19th in total and the other Swede, Emilia Fahlin, is in 93rd place.

Tomorrow a new mountain stage awaits, then between San Michele all'Adige and San Lorenzo Dorsino.
