In advance, it was the European Championships' first real big meeting when Germany and Denmark would meet.

But it actually became a rather one-sided event.

From the very beginning, the Germans dominated and created chances.

After 20 minutes, Lina Magull thundered in her 20th national team goal after Denmark lost the ball in a sloppy way.

- She could have been cooler, but this was much nicer, says SVT Sports expert Nilla Fischer.

Tough situation for Denmark

That position stood until the second half, but then it was time again.

After 57 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Lea Schüller to get through.

With just over a quarter of the match left, the Germans still had a ball in the net, but this time the goal was rejected due to offside.

The goal came instead just minutes later.

Lena Oberdorf received a free kick by nodding it to the substitute Lena Lattwein who nicely shot in 3-0.

Just before the end also came 4-0 on the nod through Alexandra Popp.

Denmark now has a tough task if they are to be one of the two teams that move on from the group.

The other teams in the group are Spain and Finland.
