The importance of an English championship at home cannot be underestimated.

Many of the fans that SVT talks about repeat the same thing: That women's football finally gets the respect it deserves.

- English women's football has grown so much in the last 20 years.

I myself used to play, but then we did not get any support.

A few years after I left, the support came and now a new, young generation is getting this backing, which means that we can build women's football from grassroots level all the way up to large arenas like Old Trafford, says Hazel.

The supporter Emma is also of the opinion that the championship can open up for a new generation of English football players.

- It inspires young girls and allows them to strive for our national team players and see that it is possible to become professionals.

How big is the national team here in England?

- They are big, but I think there is potential for them to be even bigger.

For 59-year-old Jill, this is a completely different time than when she herself played rugby.

- I was teased for it, because it was not female.

I love that we have the World Cup and that women's football is growing.

The girls get a chance to show how good they really are and that they deserve higher salaries.

Now I just hope we reach the final.
