Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria, released by Paris SG, has signed a one-year contract with Juventus Turin, the Italian club announced on Friday.
"Angel Di Maria is a Juventus player," wrote the Turin club in a short statement.
At 34, Di Maria will discover the Italian Serie A for undoubtedly an ultimate European adventure, a few months before the World Cup in Qatar which he hopes to play with the Albiceleste, champion of South America in title.
New start for “Dima”
Turin coach Massimiliano Allegri is counting on the experience of the former Benfica, Real Madrid and Manchester United player, winner of the Champions League in 2014 with Madrid, to bring Juve back to the top.
PSG did not exercise the option for the final year of the Argentinian winger's contract, who arrived in the French capital in 2015.
Despite his exceptional technique and his striking quality, "Dima", as his ex-coach Thomas Tuchel nicknamed him, sometimes struggled to exist in the midst of the constellation of PSG stars (Mbappé, Messi, Neymar).
A welcome departure
The Argentinian, after his seven years in Paris, nevertheless entered the hearts of the supporters, who gave him a nice ovation at the Parc des Princes during his last match in May against Metz (5-0).
After scoring, he was substituted to long applause, also greeted by his teammates.

Return of Paul Pogba
