“Checks are not carried out”: RT source denied information about initiating a case against Fedotov for buying a military ID

The scandal involving Ivan Fedotov has been dragging on for almost a week since the moment on July 1, the hockey player, according to his lawyer Alexei Ponomarev, was detained in connection with draft evasion.

A few days later, information appeared that the goalkeeper was only one of three defendants in the case of the illegal acquisition of military tickets.

According to the SHOT Telegram channel, CSKA forward Pavel Karnaukhov and Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov also fell under suspicion.

Allegedly, they were suspected of buying the relevant documents through one person.

However, according to RT, athletes do not appear in any criminal case.

“There are no pre-investigation checks in cases of purchasing military tickets in relation to the listed hockey players,” a source in law enforcement told RT.

The rumors were also denied by representatives of the hockey players themselves.

So, Oleg Kaprizov stressed that his son has not yet received a military ID, as he continues his studies.

Fedotov's lawyer also assured that the goalkeeper does not have it yet.

“The investigating authorities have no claims on this issue.

Before Fedotov was sent to the ranks of the armed forces, he did not have a military ID ... I can’t explain the question of other hockey players.

But I know for sure that Ivan did not have any military ID.

According to Ekaterina Gordon, there are no reasons why Fedotov could not serve, and a successful sports career is not.

“If it becomes known to us that he has grounds for deferment or refusal of military service, let's discuss, everything else is the law.

At the same time, she criticized the Russian Hockey Federation, because, in her opinion, she did not make due efforts to resolve the issue.
