“First come first served” .. New tickets for the 2022 World Cup are launched

The International Football Association (FIFA) has released the remaining tickets for the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar, according to the principle of "first come, first served", starting from Thursday, which will allow fans to have a chance to reserve their seats in the global football wedding.

This stage started at nine o'clock in the morning GMT, according to the first-come-first-served system, not by lottery, as in the previous stages, and it will end on August 16th.

Ticket holders from outside Qatar must take the initiative to reserve their accommodation, and all tournament ticket holders must submit their applications for the mandatory Haya ticket.

The finals will be held between November 21 and December 18, with 32 teams participating.

“I am pleased to invite football fans from around the world to take the initiative to purchase their tickets to attend the competitions of an exceptional edition of the World Cup, which are only 139 days away from us, and then submit their requests for a Haya card, in addition to reserving accommodation for the upcoming fans,” said World Cup CEO Nasser Fahad Al-Khater. From outside Qatar, through the official platform dedicated to booking accommodation, which offers a variety of options to suit everyone, including 2-5 star hotels, floating hotels, apartments and residential villas, and fan villages.”

"We look forward to welcoming everyone to a historic football festival in Qatar," he added.

The Haya card allows ticket holders to enter the stadium, and is also an entry permit to Qatar for fans coming from outside the country, and offers all fans many benefits, including free use of public transportation on match days.

And the number of tickets became counted after it was announced that 1.8 million tickets were sold five months before the start of the global competition, which may lead to the creation of waiting lists if the demand increases and the supply decreases.

Tickets will be offered in four price categories, the fourth is reserved for "Qatari residents", and each buyer can receive a maximum of six tickets per match, and 60 tickets for the entire competition.

There are 3 million tickets available (two million for sale and one million earmarked for FIFA and the sponsoring companies), and 1.2 million visitors are expected during the finals period.
