There was an early breakout on the second stage of this Tour de France edition.

First they were four, then the Dane Magnus Cort and the Norwegian Sven Erik Byström and in the end only the Norwegian was left.

But the stage ended with the cyclists taking over a very windy Great Belt Bridge for the day and just before they got to it, Byström was also overtaken by the large group.

With only a couple of kilometers left of the stage, a giant rollover took place with many cyclists, including the pre-favorite Tadej Pogacar, involved a bit down in the crowd.

After that, it was a thrilling sprint deal that Fabio Jakobsen won before Wout van Aert and Mads Pedersen.

Van Aert is the new general manager.
